For how long does the quartet usually play?
Our most usual engagement is for 3 hours. However, we can play for any length of time requested which can be discussed when making your booking.

What does the quartet need at the venue and can you play outdoors?
We need four armless chairs and adequate lighting. We certainly play outside, weather permitting! However, direct sunlight can cause problems, but as long as there is a shady corner or a gazebo we will be very happy.

Will the quartet need to have a break?
Yes, we usually take a break of approximately 15 minutes during a 3 hour engagement. We always try to arrange our breaks at an opportunity which suits the proceedings.

Will the quartet require refreshments?
Yes please! Soft drinks and a few sandwiches during the event are very much appreciated, especially during a longer engagement.

How far do you travel?
There is no limit on distance, but long distances will be taken into consideration when agreeing a fee.

What does the quartet wear?
Our usual dress code is black unless otherwise requested.

Can you arrange our favourite song or piece?
Yes, but do please give us as much notice of your request as you can and we can advise you of its suitability for arrangement. An additional fee is usually required for this service.

What happens if a player from the quartet is unable to play on the day?
In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances, a deputy musician of equal calibre will be engaged. We only use players that we know personally and who are familiar with our repertoire.
